WE UNDERSTAND THAT YOU WANT TO GET OUT OF PAIN
If you are searching the internet for a chiropractor or pain management, chances are you are dealing with some of the most common conditions we see, such as numbness in extremities, headaches, neck pain, or back pain. Pain is not normal — it is your body telling you something is wrong.
Once you are out of pain, let us help you stay pain free. Once your spine has learned to stay in the wrong position, it is important to teach your spine the right position. We will give you recommendations that will not just provide fast, short-term relief, but is specifically designed to keep the problem from recurring.
Lastly, let us work on improving your health! Many of our patients do not come to us only when they are in pain. They want to avoid having the same problems over and over again. This is when you progress into wellness care where you are making proactive rather than reactive decisions. Lasting health starts in this stage of care.
Dr. Kordic has been extensively trained in spinal correction. We focus on the position of the musculoskeletal system through posture, range of motion (ROM) and x-rays. Once we have your exam and x-ray findings (if necessary) we establish a treatment plan to get you well. This initial corrective phase can take 1-4 months. As progress exams are completed, we then move into wellness care. At this point, you should be experiencing the following: no more pain, improvements in ROM, posture, x-rays, and returning to doing the things you love.
If you are in pain when you come into our office, the first objective is to help you feel better. Depending on the severity of your problem, it is typical to receive adjustments 2-3 times per week for 1-2 months.
During this phase, muscles and other tissues can heal more completely, thereby helping prevent injury. This is when you are no longer in pain, but the underlying problems are still there. During this phase most of the spinal correction and stability takes place. This is where correcting the problem keeps it from reoccurring every couple of months.
Once your body has fully healed, it is important to come in for periodic adjustments to avoid issues in the future. Usually, this requires a quick visit to the chiropractor 2-4 times per month, based on your lifestyle and goals. Be proactive rather than reactive!
